Now, you don’t need an ENO Hanging Kit to hang a hammock indoors. However, I thought I would use it in this example to demonstrate how easy the process is.

Of course, another alternative is to get a hammock with a frame or buy the stand separately.

This might be a better option if you wanted to move the hammock around or take it outdoors without having to install a bunch of hanging kits throughout the house.

The Eno Indoor Hammock Hanging Kit includes:

Hammock Hanging Kit Parts
Parts Included
  • Anchor bolt hangers (2)
  • Lag screws (2)
  • Washers (2)
  • Detailed installation guide

(This is handy to know because this list gives you the materials you need to essentially build-your-own-kit with parts from your local hardware or home improvement store.)

How to Hang a Hammock Indoors:

Step 1:

Use a stud-finder to locate the studs in your walls. With proper installation to a wall stud, the ENO Kit can support up to 400 lbs in an attached hammock, such as ENO styles.

Step 2:

Next, install the 2 anchor bolt hangers with lag screws and washers to studs in the wall of the room where you want your hammock to be.

Step 3:

Finally, clip your hammock to the bolt hangers. It’s that easy – I wasn’t kidding!

Comparable materials if you decide to buy separately can do the same. Not all hooks and hangers are made the same and will be able to support the same weight, so be sure to check before you buy.

$8 Stud Finder for Hanging a Hammock Indoors the Fool-Proof Way

This small and compact stud finder is not your top-of-the-line tool. However, it costs less than $10 and will do the job just fine. Furthermore, this convenient gadget also comes with a built-in level, and it doesn’t require batteries either.

Since you can easily carry the stud finder around, you’ll probably find that you use it more often than you think. (More than just hanging a hammock indoors.) That makes it a good value in my book.

What About an Indoor Hammock Stand?

Indoor Hammock Stand for Sleeping Inside, Portable, Lightweight and SturdyYou don’t have to drill holes in your walls to enjoy sleeping in a hammock at home. Alternatively, you can get an indoor hammock stand that will hold most standard hammocks.

Hammock stands have the advantage that you can move them around. For example, you can sleep in your hammock inside or outside. In addition, you can move your hammock around your room to find the best spot to sleep.

Plus, you can disassemble the frame and transport your hammock with stand to a beach, a park, a friend’s house or wherever you sleep next. The frame is very sturdy, yet surprisingly lightweight and easy to carry.
